June 3 Dream

I was in this building, walking around in a haze. Other women were placing photos of their ex-boyfriends in an album, which was sitting on the floor of this building. The sun appeared to be shining, and soft music was playing in the background. I went outside, and I walked about 100 feet when I came upon this clear blue ocean with gentle waves lapping the shoreline. I was suddenly beside Vanessa Carlton (a celebrity), and we both walked into the ocean water. The waves gently washed up against us, and then a larger wave came along and covered us both. When the wave subsided, I was sitting on the grass of the outside of the first building, with a gentle misting rain falling on my head. I went back into this building, and placed a photo of my ex in the album.

Blue-Royalty or distinction, honesty or sincerity (as in "true blue"), average or "regular" (as in "blue jeans" or "blue collar"), relaxation, or spirituality.

Building-You or your life. If it's an office building, it might represent your work life. The dream events that happen in the building can represent events in your life (or work life). If present in the dream, a basement can represent your subconscious, the top floor your spirituality, and the floors in between your current life. A building can also be a setting, an atmosphere, or provide a tone or mood for certain dream events. For example, a school building might represent a recent learning situation or enlightening conversation.

Celebrity-Dreaming that you are talking to a celebrity or that you are friends with a celebrity can mean that your subconscious mind considers that person a friend because you "interact" with them often, or like to "interact" with them by watching them in the media. (The subconscious mind may not see much difference between a seeing a person in the media and talking to them in person.)

Cover-A cover, or something that covers, can represent:

      • Obscured view or limited understanding, as in an object blocking your view out the window that represents you feeling uninformed about events in the world
      • Concealment or hiding, as in a concealed gun that represents a hidden motive to overpower
      • Protection, as in a blanket protecting from the cold, which represents efforts to avoid harsh circumstances
      • Misrepresentation or dishonesty, as in a picture covering a hole in the wall that represents an attempt to keep someone from knowing the truth
      Ex-A dream about an ex-boyfriend, ex-girlfriend, ex-husband, ex-wife, etc. can mean:

      • You have unfinished business with this person
      • You are fondly remembering something about the time you were with them and that you'd like to experience that feeling more in your current life—but most likely not with them
Floor- The floor of a room can represent:

      • A real-life setting where life events take place
      • A starting place
      • A minimum or lower limit
      • The idea of lowness, disrespect or humiliation (such as groveling on the floor)

Music-Expression, communication, message.  Hearing music can represent the idea of someone, or your own intuition or spiritual guidance, trying to give you a message. Think about what they lyrics say, and if there are no lyrics, pay attention to the mood of the music and what it might be saying. (This is not the same thing as just having a song going through your head during the night that you've heard recently, which doesn't usually mean anything significant.)

Place-A place, location, or setting can indicate the setting of a dream, a mood, an event, or many other things.

          Sitting-Resting or taking a break
            • Physical, mental, or emotional exhaustion
            • The action of sitting down can represent quitting or giving up.
            • Being in a seated position can represent watching or "sitting it out" rather than participating.
Sun- sun can represent light or insight, daytime (the setting for the dream events), a source of life or warmth, or a source of danger (since the sun can cause damage or even death).

Regular ocean waves-one right after another, could represent consistency, reliability, or predictability.

            Rain-
            • A gift or assistance from God
            • Nourishment and replenishing (as rain nourished plants)
            • Spiritual presence
            • Cleansing, washing away the old, and starting new
